Abstract: Citation Praxis and Fragments from the Protocosmo in the Genealogies. The author reviews the quotes, attested in the Genealogies, from the poem Protocosmos attributed to Pronapide. He disputes the argument, put forward by Carlo Landi and subsequently accredited by other scholars, that there had been a Latin metric version of the Greek poem. He also advances the assumption that in the Genealogies Boccaccio made use of the cursus.
