L’immaginazione poetica e l’induismo

An original and innovative volume on the connections between the poetic imagination of British Romanticism and the advaita (a-dual) vision of Hinduism. Differently from the binary dualism characterising Western approaches, advaita focuses on the dialogical union of what superficially may seem as opposite. Advaita is a vision that profoundly influenced the philosophical orientation and poetics of the British Romantics, in particular of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, in his constant aspiration to the One. These are universal themes, since humanity always aspires to a holistic union with all, which may go beyond antinomies.
