Abstract: This article will briefly examine the history of the establishment and the current state of the main dialect varieties present in Latin America as a consequence of the historical Italian emigration. The Genoese, Piedmontese and Venetian variants, which are found in different measures from Mexico to Argentina, and from Brazil to Peru, are part of the linguistic panorama of the New World. This presence is visible in the form of stable dialect-speaking colonies and communities and the results of the influence that these varieties have had on Spanish and Portuguese, above all on a lexical level.
